Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South

The location was exceptionally nice, being close to the beach. The airport was 30 km away. Our queen room was complete with nice view as well as a pull out sofa bed.

everything there was wonderful. cheap room, exceptionally comfortable beds and exceptional stuff in a satisfactory manner. great and phenomenal location, restaurants and an oceanarium close to the hotel. attached restaurant with amazing cuisine.

Early check-in, late check-out, amicable staff. A microwave oven, a refrigerator and a sitting area in the room and the very comfy bed. Well-equipped bathroom with a bath. Oceanfront location right near everything to eat.

The view from my room was great. I woke up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean. The staff was friendly and made check-in easy. I enjoyed my time relaxing on the balcony.

I noticed several maintenance issues, including a broken desk lamp and misaligned door lock.

The view from my oceanfront room was just fine, and I loved making a fresh Belgian waffle for breakfast, such a fun touch! With direct beach access and a relaxing indoor pool, I had plenty of ways to unwind. The only bummer was that the parking was a bit limited, but it didn't ruin my great experience overall 🌊

Spurious fire evacuation of hotel at about 2am - until fire brigade cleared the hotel as safe. However, the restaurant and bar on the ground floor remained open throughout - the patrons thought it funny that the residents were outside in bed-clothes and were taking photos on their phones? Does hotel take safety seriously?

Great beach getaway!

The location is fantastic, just steps from the ocean! The staff was super friendly and the breakfast had lots of options to pick from. The room was comfy enough, but the beds felt pretty firm, like sleeping on a rock. A mattress topper definitely helped, but man, those beds could use an upgrade.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The ocean view was beautiful and we were there in November so the beach was not crowded at all. Many restaurants did not seem like they were open during this time but hotel has its own restaurant. The breakfast buffet was adequate and it was great that there was 24 hour coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby. There was also fresh fruit in the breakfast room throughout the day. The room was average sized and adequate for our stay. The beds were comfortable and the pillows and duvet were good. I think the location is generally quieter than the further north on Atlantic Blvd.

The hallway carpet could use a steam cleaning and sometimes the 2 elevators were a bit slow. The swimming pool and gym are small.

I loved staying here with a fantastic oceanfront view and being just a few steps from the boardwalk where I enjoyed long walks and access to various restaurants like Side Street Cantina and Calypso Bar and Grill right around the corner.
